Her Money Journey is about achieving financial wellness and embracing holistic wealth. Are we going to talk about money? Absolutely! But this journey isn’t just about money and material possessions, it’s about creating a lifestyle based on the values that are important to you. I share my faith and finances, and the joys and challenges of being on this journey. My hope is to build a community where we can feel connected, encourage one another to elevate our financial positions, and have a life we enjoy. I won’t tell you it’s easy, but I will tell you it’s worth it. I’m glad you’re joining me on this amazing journey.

Hi I’m Kimberly!
I have been passionate about personal finance since I was a teenager. There were several defining moments in my journey: when I was old enough to understand, my mother and I would sit at the kitchen table and she would go over our budget with me. In high school I had two classes that transformed my life: economics, where I learned about the stock market, and an independent living class where I learned more about budgets.
Although my grandfather taught me the importance of saving money, as a young adult my life was characterized by having a scarcity mentality, having just enough to get by, and surviving not thriving. My own money journey has not been easy. Determined not to continue the struggle, I devoured hundreds of books on personal finance, investing, and business. I attended workshops and seminars, learning everything I could about money. With the knowledge I acquired, and a lot of hard work, I learned to successfully navigate my money journey. My journey has taken me from welfare to creating wealth. Now as a Certified Financial Educator and Certified Money Coach, with the same passion, I want to guide you on your money journey.
When I’m not writing I enjoy reading, hiking, live music, and yoga. I love bible study, and I love to travel. I am a proud Army veteran. It also means the world to me to serve, and make a difference in my community with my sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
I have 5 grandchildren that I affectionately call “The Board of Directors,” because I feel like I work for them. My family is my life, and my faith defines me. God has blessed my life to be a blessing to others. I hope you enjoy my site, and all that it offers to encourage you on your money journey.

I can’t take credit for my financial position; my loving heavenly father placed me here. It had nothing to do with my knowledge, but everything to
do with His grace. I have the responsibility to manage well what He has entrusted to me; to build and make it grow.
